Police are searching for a man who bashed a woman in the face with a bottle during a violent robbery in the Bronx.
The man approached the 68-year-old woman on White Plains Road near Lydig Avenue in Pelham Parkway around 5:20 a.m. Oct. 6 and ordered her to give him cash, cops said.
The suspect then clubbed the woman about six times in the face with a bottle and grabbed her cellphone, debit card and about $5 in cash, police said.
The woman was transported to a local hospital after the mugging and treated for bruises and cuts to her face.
The suspect, described as about 6-feet-tall and in his 40s, has not been caught, cops said.
